Jackie Wells
Originally from Kentucky, I went to the University of Kentucky (go Cats!) and majored in Fiction Writing and Cultural Anthropology. My husband and I quickly made our way to Breckenridge after college where we lived, worked, and played for five years. We have two wonderful children, both who attend Odyssey, and two kind of crazy dogs. We love living in Denver and having access to these amazing mountains and all that Denver has to offer.I have been on staff for almost two years, crunching numbers and paying the bills. I love being a Reading Buddy, a Writing Buddy, and a Passage Buddy. I have had many opportunities to join some of the crews on Adventure. My favorites would have to be schlepping water up to the Tea House for a cold night at Stillpoint and seeing a huge sense of accomplishment on the faces of some 7th and 8th graders at the top of Mt. Bierstadt.
I love hiking up the mountains and skiing back down them, I am more comfortable sleeping in a tent than anywhere else, and feel so fortunate that I love coming to work everyday. I believe that music is best heard live, surrounding oneself with amazing people makes your day go just that much better, and that it is our responsibility to foster creative, loving, bright members of our community in our children.
Personal goal for the year: get those dogs to sleep in later!
